(325) 603-2894 Robo call recorded 12 September 2019 (Department of Socal Securty Administration, there is a legal enforcement actions filed on your Social Security number for criminal activities...) SCAM Caller ID: Out of Area

Robo call purporting to be from Department of Socal Securty Administration, calling to inform me that "there is a legal enforcement actions filed on your Social Security number for criminal activities..." in a lame attempt to get me to call them back to speak with them so they can trick me into divulging sensitive personal information.

This call insults our intelligence on many levels, first, being poorly worded rife with grammatical errors and a poor text-to-speech recording, and their "shotgun" approach to making mass phone calls, hoping to find a few people who are ignorant enough to fall for their crude fishing scam, and their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of their crude phishing call as I recorded it using Google Voice:

female voice: "This call is from the Department of Social Security Administration the reason you have received this phone call from our department is to inform you that there is a legal enforcement actions filed on your Social Security number for criminal activities. So when you get this message, kindly revert as soon as possible on our number that is 325-603-2894. I repeat 325-603-2894 before we begin with the legal proceedings. Thank you and have a nice day."

NOTE: try not to laugh too hard at their poor grammar. Sadly, there are people who don't realize this call is a dangerous scam and provide the scammer with their personal information.
