Called my cell. It only rang a few times and they did not leave a message. I have blocked them. Based on comments on another phone number check site, it sounds like this is a credit card scam and that the caller can get abusive if you ask them to take you off the call list. Probably best not to answer and let them know your number is "live".

Credit card scam. Automated message claiming that they need me to call in regards to my credit card. I don't even have a credit card.

Just got a call 3-3-16....on my cell! When I answered, I got a recording saying that it was from "Consumer Credit Services"...I hung up...my credit is fine. Apparently the No Call list doesn't work very well.

Oh, those douchebags again... called my cell this time (I still have a landline). I think if you press "1" to speak with someone, ostensibly to ask to be removed, that just makes your number a live target that they will keep in their active dialer. They're not even in the U.S. although now using an Alabama area code.

robocall about credit services. best to just hang up. they won't take you off their list.be sure to complete a complaint to the National Do Not Call Registry (and sign up if you haven't yet. It sure cuts down on the calls I receive. (it's a free federal registry))

It seems like this may be similar to a denial of service attack for a specific person. For instance, some one has written a program to call phone numbers and when someone pushes "1", the person who was called is connected to the target individual. Thoughts?

Yes, received call saying it was my last reminder to take advantage of their offer. Please hold for a live operator, so I did and said "I'd like to be taken off your list", and he hung up on me.
