They seemed to want to "help" me with my credit card debt--there was a short recording that told me there was no problem with my credit card account and then said "press 1 to talk to an operator". When I pressed 1, I asked them which of my credit cards they were calling about, they said "the major Mastercard or Visa you're making payments on" (not true, I don't have that situation). When I pressed them to find out what bank they were with, they hung up on me.

He offered to lower my interest rate on my credit card. He claimed to be working for Visa/MC but could not verify an address or company name other than "Card Member Services" which is a fictitious company name.
