I received my first phone call from these jerks on 5/30/11. The guy had a strong Indian accent and said his name was Alex Parker and that he was from the Law Offices of ACLS. He said that I had charges filed against me for failure to repay and payday loan and I would be arrested and have to go to court if I didn't agree to settle out of court with an immediate payment of $300. He was very hard to understand and was very rude. I was so confused because he rattled off my SS#, my full name, address, bank account number, etc. I asked him again how much was the settlement amount and he now said it was $400! I got online and found out it was a scam and called him on it. He began to stumble over his words while trying to deny that his call was a scam. Then he quickly hung up. On 5/31/11 I got a call from an "auto loan company" trying to offer me a loan, but I recognized the voice immediately as the man I had spoken to the day before. I called him on it and again he stumbled over his words and then quickly hung up. Oh yeah, and then today when I checked out my e-mail I had an e-mail from the "FBI" stating that they have been watching me and every transaction I've made over the past year and if I don't pay them money then I will be in serious trouble. These people are seriously sick! I plan on buying a blow horn so next time they call I will blow it into the phone and see how they like that! = )
said his name was Neil Martin, said that my mother-in-law has been pretending to be me, using my personal information, social security number, etc, and has been trying to take out a loan, said that she would be prosecuted and they need to contact her, asked me to have her call them, also said that I would not be in trouble but may need to come to court. they had a lot of information about her and me and i'm not sure what to think, don't know if any of it is true. he did not ask me to verify any of my personal information, just wanted to contact my mother-in-law claiming she had been committing fraud
I just received a phone call from this number. because of past experiences with this type of scammer I googled his # while he was on the phone...what an idiot...he said he was with the fraud police. when I asked for his name he did not begin it with "officer" anything. I pointed this out to him and he said he was an officer. In the meantime I saw on the computer this number was one of many on the list of scammers who claim you have taken out a loan, yada yada yada. I gave him no informaion and had a blast blasting him with other posts pertaining to this #.
SCAM alert claim that I took out pay day loan with Cash Call America. Thick Indian accent Jose Sanders have had similiar calls before contacted bank and reported them. Bank clerk said she would forward information to the FBI. Report them I doubt if anything can be done but at least make yourself feel better.
Very heavy Indian accent left message and told me my ss number was involved in a legal matter and if I did not return his call I would be in a legal mess, funny thing he left no name to call back on. Then he said he wished me luck. I have been receiving the same calls from other phones claiming to be FBI, an officer, and from the prosocuters office. I have contacted a lawyer who says they are all scams and when she calls them back they hang up.
