I received a message from someone with a indian accent who identified himself as David Walker.
He stated it was very important for me to return his call because this was a legal issue that was tired to my social security number and if I did not return his phone call at 347-292-8536 I would be in some serious trouble. The caller ID showed up as unknown. Without thinking I returned the phone call and asked for David Walker. A man with a indian accent answered and said David Walker was not in and he was his supervisor how can I help you. I explained who I was and why I was calling. He stated to me that I had taken out a payday loan and did not pay it back. I explained to him that I have never taken out a payday loan. He threatened me with legal action.
I asked him to fax me any information if he had proof that I had taken out a payday loan. H would not do it. He just kept saying that if I don't pay the loan he will take legal action against me. After a shouting match with this man I just hung up. This is a scam. Please do not believe these people.

This phone call came in to my WORK telephone as 000-000-0000. The gentleman's voice on theline was barely recognizable. Could not understand due to a heavy accent. Just identified himself as working with ACS and gave the phone 347-292-8536 to contact him. Did not elaborate on what he was calling me about. He just stated that I have a pending legal siut with his office and that failure to comply this company would call my place of employment and relatives/friends/references. Not sure what this is about but he did not tell me what the suit was about.

I received a call from 000-000-000 from a guy with a deep accent stating I took out a payday loan and his name was Richard Wilson and his call back number is 347-292-8536. He threatened me with legal action and a law suit if I didn’t pay within 24 hrs. This scam must be working…because I could hear other representatives in the background. This shows that there is a team of illegal scam ARIST on the rise. The scam artist knew my last four of ss#, place of employment, and the bank. This could have been information submit on an online application. DON’T BELIEVE THE SCAM…CALLS YOU LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT!!!!

I received a threatening message from the 'legal Dept of ACS' today on my work phone and on my cell. My son called to tell me he had received a very odd and scary voice msg on his phone #. My ex-husband forwarded to me a very threatening voice msg that he also rec'd today - about me and the fraud I was involved in and the 3 things I had defaulted on. NO SUCH THING EVER HAPPENEd. Before I realized what was going on, I returned their call. I asked for james Johnson, the person who left the threatening messages to all 3 of us... I was given to James Johnson, whom I could barely understand... very thick Indian accent. Each time I asked him to slow down and repeat himself he talked louder and faster and would never stop. Finally I yelled 'STOP! and I think it startled him. He shut up for a second, long enough to finally tell me that I had taken out an internet payday cash loan and had not paid. I've never done this in my entire life. They threatened, saying they know where i live, where I work, that they may show up at my home, etc and that the next call will be to my employer... I was so upset... I called Clark Howard and talked to his staff. They told me to immediately check my credit report, lock it down (freeze it and put a fraud alert on it), which I did, read the info at ftc.com (federal trade commission). If they call me back, I will be ready for them. Go to the Clark Howard site and get the 'drop dea' letter in case they send you something. I went to the police station to file a police report and was told that no crime had actually been committed, as horrible as it is and that they get these calls every single day....
