This is the 2nd time I have received these types of calls, it is a scam. Mine was a woman, but I was ready for her the third time she called my number, I actually did call the Sheriffs Dept in Orange County California, the last time they called and was ready to contact the States Attorney. Which is what I told her I would do if she ever called again. They are predators.
I've got the same story, same players. A "Carl Peterson" and "JackWilliams". They claim I owe "Public Credit Services" $300.00 for a supposed payday loan from Cash Advance USA. When they started calling my work and leaving threatening messages last week..well..that was the last straw. I spent all day (hopefully not wasted!) phone calling-contacting online every local-state-national-federal law enforcement agency I could possibly think of and it was a LOT! If the U.S. can track down Bin Laden I can't imagine some low life Indian scammers can be much trouble, can it?
P.S. Next course of action...private investigators and hired guns.
I just received the same msg from the same person i am reporting this to the police
I just received a call on my cell phone and at my place of employment. The caller stated that this was a serious legal issue. I could resolve it now or later in court. I asked him to email me a copy of the report. He asked me again how do you want to handle this, they had my SS # information where I work and who I bank with. Again when I asked for the documents to be emailed to me, he finally just hung up. You could hear all these people in the back ground stating the same thing to other callers, that they took out a payday loan and that it hasn't been paid back yet and it's been more than 21 days past due.
