Received a call 6/29 4:23pm from 1-347-410-5894. My husband answered and the recording indicated it was information regarding forclosures in the Anoka County area. Press 1 for more information. He hung up the phone. We are registered with the National Do Not Call Registry. How do these people keep getting away with this. Is is true recording calls are illegal?

Got a robo call from 347-410-5894 claiming to be Home Defenders League which is a scam organization run by a pedophile using the toll free number 888-995-HOPE (4673)
They are NOT a non-profit organization!
They are a COLLECTION AGENCY that MASQUERADES who they really are by using terms like "HOPE" and "Home Defenders League". They are similar to, if not owned by www.hopenow.org which is a COLLECTION AGENCY created by the BANKS for the same purpose.
They are calling people behind on their mortgage "hoping" you will call so they can get you to give them enough information so THEY can get money from the GOVERNMENT and YOU while they short-sale or foreclose on YOUR HOME!
THEY ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY!

This group was pushing for homeowners to unite in the fight against big banks and how they have wronged homeowners. On their incomplete website (whose pages only say "Coming Soon"), they seem to be attempting to solicit donations; unless the website is a farce and is doing little to spread a message. Either way, I did not authorize them to contact me, I do not know how they got my phone number, I did not give them permission to contact me, and I am on the National Do Not Call Registry.
