Today I received a call from an Officer Charles Brown from a Department of Financial Investigation stating that a law suit was going to be filled against me and my social security number they are trying to stay in front of the Federal Government so they will not get catched they called from a 247,243,915 and now a 347 number all I know if I receive another call from this guy I am going to let him know that I have reported him and whoever is associated with him to the proper authorities

Have been recieving calls at work from someone who says they are an officer and that I owe money that is not owed. When I asked who I owed the money too and for what they get very beligerent and nasty with me and do not give me any information. I have asked for it to be mailed or faxed. Never happens. At work we are just telling them that it is a business and not to call back but have been getting 2 and 3 calls a day. Have decided to tell them next time they call that I have looked them up online and know that they are a scam and let them know that if they continue to call they will be reported to the police.

Called and said he was a financial investigator Steve Johnson & I will be arrested if I dont call him. They are harrassing me and I dont know why. 347-416-5175 is number.

Just like everybody else the caller states that he is an officer from a Cash and Loan company and his name was officer Johnson and he gave me a case number and also he said I would be arrested if I don't pay the money that I owe to this company. After that he put another officer on the phone his name was Officer Charles Brown from New York , he said I will be arrested, he will send someone to my job to arrest me for not paying off my loan. I have been getting these phone calls everyday back to back and I am sick and tried of them. I could not understand the person at first because I couldn't understand him. But this has got to stop with the calls from my job.

3474165175 and 9163950000 are the same person with no agency name but states he is loan investigator and if call ignored good luck-but keeps calling back and others names used

This guy Steve Johnson called my job. I called him back and he gave me a csi case number and said that I was committing fraud. So I ask him if I need a lawyer and he said yes. I told him I would call back with my lawyer. THe next day I took the day off and went and found a lawyer. My lawyer called and was asking questions and he told my lawyer that he was financial crime. My lawyer said he was not familiar with this department. He started to ask a lot of questions and they hung up. He told me it did not seem legit. He said if they call me back to contact him. He also told me that these people had a strong asian accent to be Steve Johnson. He thinks it is a fake.

This is a scam. Caller claims to be "officer" (whatever name) with the Department of Financial Information and is calling because there has been a law suit or some other claim purportedly lodged against your Social Security number. There is NO SUCH Government entity! One name being used is "Officer Max Clinton" another is the purported Supervisor Charles Brown. Claim the physical location is 83 Meganland, N.Y., NY 14102. Phone trace shows this to be a Cell Phone using Level 3 communication from Lat. 40.7000 Long. -74.0000 Manhattan, N.Y.
It is a Felony to represent yourself as a Law Enforcement Officer. All calls from this telephone number should be reported to the authorities.

Same as other caller. Very rude collection company. Would not supply company name. Only saying they are in the financial fraud investigations.

The number calls my cell and my place of employment repeatedly within few minutes and caller was very rude. Told me that the police would be here and there is a lawsuit against me for a fraudulent check. Promised to drop charges if I agree to pay them right now.
