These are people in India and they run this scam because people believe them and pay them. Don't ask the Government to fix this...you have to fix this. If no one sends them money they would stop.

Received a Voice Mail computerized voice with a message that "IRS is filing lawsuit..." I called the IRS fraud alert line at: 800-366-4484, but they are aware and receiving a high volume of calls related to this telephone phishing scam.

I received a call from 347-418-0430 and the man said his name was Michael Black calling from the IRS. He said that there was a law suit against me with the IRS and I was being charged with tax evasion! He was very nasty and told me not to say anything until he was done with his convictions against me. He then said that I ower the IRS $6712.00, but they would settle for $3000.00 cash. He said that the Marshals office would be at my house in 10 minutes for the $$, and if I didn't have the $$ I would be arrested. He also said that he would contact my employer, have my paycheck garnished, take any $$ that I had in the bank and take my 401k from my job! And he said that if I didn't comply with his demands, I would be sued by the IRS for $75,000. These imposters MUST be stopped, i kept looking out the window for the Marshals car to pull up in front of my house and my children were hysterical, thinking that I was going to be taken out in handcuffs! I hope Law Enforcement does something about this and finds all who are evolved and locks them up! Please share your story if the same thing has happened to you & report it to your local Police Dept.

Claimed to be Michael Black from the IRS (but could not immediately tell us what IRS stood for). Said there was an IRS claim against us. Could tell it was a call center and could clearly hear lots of others in the background giving the same speech about IRS claim. SCAM!
