I got the call yesterday - automated voice. I can't believe people actually take it seriously and try calling them back. I just listened to the recording to the end because I'd heard about the scam - I get automated notices from the FTC because of my job. I never click on a link or call back numbers directly. If I need to call a credit card number, my bank, etc., I use their real number. Why can't these criminals be shut down? Sounds like there's enough information to find them. Scumbags :(

I called back 6 times, and got hung up on 6 times. I was told a law enforcement officer would be at my front door in 45 minutes, to arrest me. These guys are complete, unadulterated idiots. Tell them to go "f...." themselves, and hang up. They know your phone number and your home address, and somehow that is supposed to make you quake in your boots. These people need to be stopped. I was even told once that if I didn't have a cell phone number, I could be arrested? I'm sorry, I get a lot of obvious span calls each and every day. Some of them are worth laughing at. These people need to be stopped. Call your local police, and complain. They won't do anything, but it appears that is all we can do. My suggestion is to invest into a blow horn, and blow it into the phone when they call. If nothing else, maybe they'll stop calling. Please understand, the IRS would not call, and tell you that you are being sued. Come on, really? Call the IRS, and find out they're procedure should they have any questions regarding your tax returns. Better yet, all your local representative (government), and complain that that these people have been allowed to scam (attempt to scam) unscrupulous individuals. This needs to stop. I'm done, and I'm pissed. This has been going on way too long. Good luck.

Received call today that uses a computerized voice. Caller stated that they were from the IRS and that have filed a law suit against us and in order to resolve this out of court we are to call them immediately at 1-347-418-0574 department 3. Caller is operating out of phone number. 347- 418-0574. Country: USA Location: New York (Bronx, Brooklyn) - this is a scam and is intended to relieve you of your hard earned money.

Yep, same thing happened to me today...same Indian accent saying Officer Jason Brown left a notice on my doorstep. Scumbags...

they called me saying i had an IRS lawsuit filed against me. I told them I would pay immediately but to call me back on my private line then i gave them the number for the FBI office in San Diego.

I keep getting a call saying from IRS and we are being sued. Not true. Beware of this call

Yep - Got the same "robo-dialed" recorded message:
"This is your last notice. There is a lawsuit against you from the IRS".
I actually called back. A guy with a heavy thick Indian accent answered. I said that I never received a letter from the IRS and he hung up.

These callers need to be fined, arrested and phone liberties taken away

I have gotten several messages and finally called. A person sounding like they were from India, Frank Smith he said....lol, gave me a badge number and asked to verify who I was. Since I told him I thought it was fake he said someone would be at my door in 45 minutes to explain everything and then he hung up. Piece of crap scammer.

Yep! And it's hard to hear the name of the the IRS in the garbled recorded message. I had to read these reportings from others and listen several times to be able to make out the "Internal Revenue" Services part. I'd received scam IRS calls before, so an IRS scam call wouldn't have concerned me. But being unable to hear the name clearly this time had me a bit worried. Thank goodness for sites such as this.

Just got a call from 347-418-0574. The message said this is "officer from Internal Revenue Services". It went on to say they'd been trying to reach us (they hadn't) and this was an official final call (I hope) and that they'd filed a lawsuit against us (they didn't say why) but if we wanted more information, we needed to call them back immediately. I sure hope others realize this is a scam and don't fall for it.

Got the same call stating urgent, IRS, we have filed a law suit against you. Will not be calling back. If the IRS had a judgment against me they would be contacting me in writing, by mail.

11:25 am our answering machine got a call from 347.418.0574. Said the IRS has filed a law suit against you, call immediately. Will not be calling
