Woman named "Mike".
Said they were from Microsoft.
Bush league.
He said he was a computer tech and told me someone is trying to hack into my computer right now and did I know this. I told him thank you I will take it in to be looked at and hung up because I knew it was a scam.
Same basic thing for me, just I told him I was running Ubuntu, and he was very puzzled by why all that came up was a keyboard shortcuts menu for Windows-R. Then I said I didn't want to type in the address he said. He claimed he worked for Microsoft and I told him I didn't believe him. Total scam, and my kids started laughing in the background. He eventually hung up.
They said they were notified by windows that someone was trying to get into my computer. Wanted me to gwt in front of my computer and turnit on and tell them info. I said was it windows that informed you and he said yes and i said well i dont have windows. He said oh you have a mac and i said yes it does run on windows.
