Received the call and same IRS scam. Didn't respond. Not sure why Cops don't take action on this number. They are so brave, they accept our return calls too.

Caller: Went to voicemail, Didnt pick up but when called via other number, heard a Non English speaking person talking and could hear conversation from other person sitting besides doing the same scam.

several calls in last week left 2 voice mails, identifies caller as IRS officer with a number, voice sounds computer generated, says urgent that we return the call before legal proceedings start

Yes, I received two calls with this same area code. The first number was a 1-347-560-5191 I got no name , and then the phone went click, and then another family member got curious and called them and said who are you ? and who are you looking for? They said Mrs.Mrs. Springer. Then at around 12:00 p.m. a lady name Loren Matthews called , and said she was an officer from the IRS, and to please call her back at 1 347-560-5213, and do this to avoid her taking any more legal action against me. Do not ignore the request

We received a call from this number. We let it go into our recording because we didn't recognize the number. We have received calls before from a 206 number as well - that one I called back and a very middle Eastern voice began rapping and called me a 'b----' when I advised I was reporting the call and told him to never call again. If you go to the IRS website, they give a good up front warning about scam calls. Sadly, these callers have bilked over $9 million dollars from frightened tax payers.

Caller sounds like a recording and says they are the IRS. Call back to avoid having any action being taken against me. Then they say "Have a nice day. "

I am a registered tax preparer and received this call as well. I told them I reported the name and phone number to the IRS and to the local police department. The foreign speaking women said that the cops would be at my door within minutes. I told them I would report them again when they showed up. They hung up of course

Got my call today saying I owed money to IRS and to get a lawyer right away. He would be more convincing if he spoke better ENGLISH ! Looking forward to a return call , hopefully from a lawyer I'm sure they will provide>

They called 3 times in 1 hour. Didn't pick up. But I called the number back told the man the IRS does NOT make phone calls and of course he hung up I was told by the local police Not to answer if you receive a number you don't recognize

Lauren Matthews...very intimidating person! Called twice.. I returned the call and said I was going to report them. The guys said thank you...click went the phone!!!

Called me today- I suspect the first of many. And I'm on the do not call list. It's a robo-call, woman's voice- message is somewhat threatening.

They call several times a day and always say the same thing...they are the IRS and I have a lawsuit being filed against me and they want my lawyer's name. I told them I knew it was a scam and to never, ever call me again. The man, who did not have English as his primary language, said in a mean tone, "What did you just say to me?" and I finally hung up. Idiots. So glad others posted on here so I didn't get fooled.

Saw it on the news and read it here. I finally got a call today. Actually 2 calls. I picked up the first call cuz it said New York, NY. I listened to the entire intimidating computer voice state that she was an agent and I must take this call seriously. Second call was left on my machine 2 hours later. Definitely not legit. I know I filed and don't make enough for the IRS to be interested in me. Don't be fooled by these rotten scammers.

Same as all the rest saying its from IRS and if I don't call back they will take action was on my answering machine 3 times today. The Number was 347-560-5213 from New York BIG SCAM

robot voice claimed to be IRS agent Norm Matthews. Woman's robot voice with a man's name. Said they were agent badge #3475605213.
Said I needed my attorney of record to call immediately to avoid further action. I did not return the call. Thank you for these posts so I can protect myself.
