Called and claimed to be the police calling about a case/arrest warrant from the IRS
I got the call today. It is definitely a scam. Police officer with arrest warrant scam. Why would an out of state police call me?

Yep, they called me saying it was related to a federal criminal offense, but no details about the alleged offense. SCAM.
