Put this number on crag list 347-637-6600 in the free add
Received a recorded message this morning from this number saying "I am officer Lauren Matthew from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 347-637-6600. I repeat it's 347-637-6600. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care." I returned the call already aware that it was a "SPAM". A man answered "Internal Revenue Service". I said "What do you want?" and he hung up. I called back at least 30 times because I have received calls like this from different numbers in New York and I figure it is the same operation. Out of 30 or more calls, they answered maybe 7-8 times and each time I confronted them, they immediately hung up. The last time they answered my call, the man who answered said "Yes, YOU B!TcH" I replied "Wow, I never realized my IRS representative would talk to me like that." The "representative" hung up on me again. I hope EVERYONE who receives calls from these people take action. If not by giving these idiots a taste of their own medicine and harassing them with multiple return calls, then by posting their number all over the internet and warning people of their deceitful and despicable way of life. I figure, "what the heck?" You called me and wanted to talk to me. I am just calling back to talk. But they don't want to talk unless you give them detailed information about yourself. As soon as I asked the guy, "my IRS rep's" name, he would hang up. One time that I called, he did give me a fake name. He had to think about it for a minute. His first name was "David" and the last name he gave... was the same as mine!! And I do not have a common name! I said "well, that is quite a coincidence that you have that name!" and he hung up. I am sure that soon enough they will close this number and move onto a new number, just so they can continue calling and harassing innocent people. BUT, perhaps if enough people take action, they will get tired of their ways and try to find a more honorable way to make a living. Better yet, maybe they will get busted and have legal action taken against them.
These people are preying on unsuspecting people who do not know any better. If you try to call them back, they might answer the first time only. The first time I called back a man answered, "Internal Revenue Service". I said to him "What do you want??" and he hung up on me. I tried calling back numerous times, just so I could confront them, but they must know I'm not as stupid as they were hoping for so they just don't answer OR they answer and then hang up without saying anything. They are totally afraid of being confronted or are just sick of it because I am sure that is what most of their daily lives consist of. I hope someone eventually catches up with them and turns them in.

A robotic woman's voice with an accent left a message for me to call back. She said she's with the IRS and it's a time sensitive issue. I know it's fake.
