They called my son-in-law and told him to pass a message to my wife that her social security number has had a lawsuit filed against it. My son-in-law worked in collections and knew that it's illegal for them to disclose this information to a third party; and told them that if they were who they said, they would know that they had broken the law and he was passing the message on to the TX attorney General. I'm researching how to file a complaint with the Florida State Attorney as well.

Received the same call April 6 2011. Telling me a law suit against my name and social are about to be filed. Could not understand most of what he said. But if I did not call them this was going to happen. The number that showed on my caller ID was wierd. It was 90-700-080-1947 but the number he said to call was 347-927-1843. Don't understand what the 90 is.

Same here! Do we need to report this to someone?

same call as what i am reading here....threatening tone from someone sounding indian, knows my name...and also called a friend of mine looking for me.....states its a serious legal matter, time sensitive, that I'd better call back....

Same thing happened to me on 3/17/2011.
