Got a call from this number and called back. The individual with a thick Indian accent said he was with "the legal department" and wanted to know my name. I asked legal for which company, and he said he could not tell me that until I told him my name. I politely said I would wait for a call back, since they initiated the call.

I just received the same phone call. This time is was "Robert Mathews." They could not give any information beyond how much I owed (over $6,000) and where to send it. When I asked (the guy with the thick Indian accent) if Robert Mathews was his given name, he said it was given to him by his parents. I replied by saying "that is what is meant by 'given name' in this country." He hung up. I called back and got in touch with him and he just replied by saying he is not going to play these games and hopes I get arrested, then hung up again. Thank you for wasting my time.

Recording that said I if I ignored this call, I would have to face a Magistrate Judge or a Grand Jury. Said he was from the Dept. of Treasury.
The US Government all divisions, will never contact you by phone.
It's in person or all contact correspondence by mail only.

I got same call and accent of Kevin Mason like a Chinese! seems it was recorded message.

Received voice message on 6/16/16 from 360-203-0019 caller identified himself as Kevin Mason - purpose - enforcement action executed by US Treasury. Failure to respond would require appearance before Magistrate Judge or Grand Jury for a federal criminal offense. The call number was reported to FTC for investigation.

It's just before 9am and I am at my father's house visiting and he received a call from a recording mentioning something about the treasury department. I told him to let me Google the number before calling back, that it was most likely a scam, but he is very persistent and stubborn and called anyways even though I had began to Google it and found this site. A woman answered with a thick Indian accent, and when he asked who they were and why they called, she proceeded to ask for his phone number and then first and last name. Then she told him that the IRS had contacted them and he owed money from 2013. My father then told her that he is on disability and hasn't worked in over 15 years and does not file taxes along with some other factual information and asked what could he possibly owe the IRS.
She hung up on him.
I finally got his attention to read him the very helpful comments I found here and decided to share this experience for anyone else who is cautious enough to take action looking up this phone number or any number at that matter, for information before calling back and giving them the time of day let alone personal information or money!
Scam. SCAM. SCAM! very shady.

Well, I guess I'm a goner. I just got a call from a foreign speaking person with the name Kevin Mason from "US Treasury" telling me that I owed some money from my 2013 tax return. I said,"I'm not falling for your scam. Why would the Treasury department be calling about that instead of the IRS?" She said that the IRS had contacted me and I had not responded and they had turned the case over to them. I said,"Again, I'm not falling for your scam." She said, "If you think this call is a scam, I'm disconnecting this call and the FBI will be at your house shortly to arrest you and put you in jail." I asked, "How long will it take the FBI to get here from India where you are?" So she hung up, so I guess I'll see y'all as soon as the Indian FBI gets here. I called them back and they started the same thing over but hung up when I told them that they had called the local IRS office

got one today, left me a voicemail. The same thing. I called back and a woman calmly picked up and said "US treasury". I said "you are nuts" and she hang up quietly. I can't believe such things exist in America and there's no place to report such harassment.

I GOT THE SAME CALL TWICE. THEY LEFT A VM AND I JUST IGNORED IT, SOMETHING ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF TREASURY. THE PERSON HAD A ACCENT AND THE RECEPTION WAS HORRILE- SCAM

Also got a call from "Kevin Mason". 10:45 pm. Threatening legal action against me unless I return the call to 360-203-0019.

Received the call today, same guy same message, I disconnected the call half way while he was leaving message. I Know it is scam ! They started again. I want them to stop harassing people!!
Never answer them or call back these scam artists!!

That I would face dyer consequences if I ignored this call and that I should return call to that same number and he gave the number again. I called it and it says it has been disconnected, I called it back immediately. I was going to tell them to come here and try to get me because I know this is a scam. This is why Americans 2nd Amendment Rights need to be protected and we need to get theses people out of OUR COUNTRY. They spoke with a foreign accent. Wish they would show up at my Private residence. I will protect my Family. Tired of being threatened. TRUMP ALL THE WAY. WE STAND UNITED
