Foreign caller saying he is from the United States government and my number was selected to receive 8000.00 from grant money

Received a call saying my mother give them the phone number because she don't understand English well. They said I too have been selected by government to receive $8000. Play with them, they ask if you wanted a check or put it in your credit card, told them to put ithe in my card. They want your zip code, your age and your name. They ask for my name so I give it to them " Yu Fu " :)

scam caller out of Washington state

Yes, l got a call saying l have been selected by government to receive $8,000. I listened to foreign caller just to hear what he said. I was to call back, but of course am not. I know it is a spam call trying to get info.
