Answered the call and heard an automated voice say "Good Bye". I called back and the man answered "Crime and Investigation Unit of the IRS" and asked for my husband. The things he said after that were unintelligible and when I said I couldn't understand him he hung up.

My teen daughter screened five phone calls today at my house from the same number, and when I called them back from my cell, they represented themselves (in heavily accented English) as the Crime & Investigating Department of the IRS. The guy asked for my first name, and started telling me about some "independent audit", but then I questioned whether he was actually calling from the IRS, he hung up. The IRS does not call people on the phone. IRS representatives identify themselves by name and employee ID number.

Repeated calls. Says that they will report me to the "local cops" about my tax bills. Have blocked them But they still get through to vm.

Could barely understand the robot, mentioned they were filing a lawsuit and to call them at 360-216-1834 in order to settle it. Total BS

Received call. Message said the IRS has filed a suit against us and to call the number 360-216-1834. Of course, we ignore answering any numbers we do not know.

The caller represent the IRS and said that they were going to file a lawsuit against me. I called the only attorney general's office and they said that all they can do is tell people not to talk to these people and that the IRS is aware of it. The IRS does not call people on the phone
