SCAM. a recording pretending they are the IRS. Threatening message left saying the IRS has filed a lawsuit and to call this number. Funny thing is, I knew it was a scam because it happened to me before. But I press star 67 and called the number and you get a busy signal

Today Feb. 26, 2015, I received this same phone message. "Hello, we have been trying to reach you.This call is from the IRS,Internal Revenue Service. The reason for this call is to inform you the irs is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately. our dept # 360-362-4730.

I have a company called StormBusters of Texas, LLC with a call back number of 281-304-0000. This info appears on your caller id as if we were calling you and it leaves the number they want you to call which is 360-362-4730. What they are doing is called Spoofing, We are not making calls for this and we apologize for any problems. I have just filed a report with the FCC, they have basically stolen our name and number for their caller id.

They just did the same thing with the first comment recording.

"Hello, we have been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you the IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately our department number 360-362-4730. I repeat, 360-362-4730."

However, if the IRS tried to contact you, they will never call you and leave you a voice mail saying "the IRS is filing lawsuit against you" When the IRS wants someone, they try to call the individual first, they call from an office in your area code or nearest. Then if the person did not answer, they show up to his/her place within 30 days with badges presented as the IRS.

So do not call the number up there. It is a scam, save your time and money, and register you phone number in the FBI in the Do Not Call List here:

We got a message on our voicemail saying exactly what the rest of these comments are saying. I tried calling them back and it went straight to voicemail. I left a simple message with no more info then the number they had called in the first place. No name, or any info at all!! Have not heard back since.

The caller ID number was 563-679-0000 and same as the rest: IRS Internal Revenue Services. I noted "services" plural so knew for sure it was a scam but the Federal IRS would NEVER call you, they would mail all correspondence.

I received a call from 722-592-6574, didn't answer and went to my voicemail. Same as everyone else:
"Hello, we have been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you the IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately our department number 360-362-4730. I repeat, 360-362-4730."

I received this call at 8:24am PST. The caller ID showed location in Denver, CO. I let it go to voicemail. The recorded robotic woman's voice said exactly the same as other comments below - that the IRS has been trying to contact me. It is my final notice that they are filing a lawsuit against me, and to call their department at that number to get more information about the case file. I did not try to return the call.

I also received the same call, That the IRS would be filing a lawsuit on me and that it was a final notice. I had not received any other call prior. AT ALL. I called back several times and it just rang or I was unable to understand the person on the other end. What is this about?

Received the same call as everyone else at 6:30 this morning. "This call is officially a final notice from IRS. The reason for this call is to inform you the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you." I called the number and was unable to understand the person on the line. I heard background noise, like a calling center. I hung up on the person.

I received the same call as Mulli did. It was a female voice. The call was received at 11:12 AM on February 3, 2015. The call appeared as "UNKNOWN" and the phone number "000".
