Pre-recorded message, saying that the call was about one of my credit cards, that there was no problem with my card but I could lower my interest rate by responding by pressing #1 to speak with an agent. I responded and when a representative came on the line, I asked who she represented and she kept asking if I pressed #1, I followed with one more request to identify the company or organization she represented and she hung up on me.

They said they could lower the interest rate on my credit card.. it was made to sound as if this was a credit card I had with them. I don't have any credit cards. It was made to sound as if "cardholder services" was the department of a bigger entity, such as a credit card issuing entity or bank.
