Cardholder Services play a recording that claims they are able to lower my interest rate. I need to press 1 to speak to a live representative. There is no option to remove my phone number. I then press one to speak to a representative, I ask that my phone number be removed from their calling list. Most of the time, they simply hang up on me. A few times they say they can't.

These people are nothing more than common criminals with with a complete disregard for the law and they have no reason to be civil. They ask for up front fees and charge your credit card without performing any services.

I have now received more than 200 (I have them documented) calls from these scum sucking criminals. I have filed more than 50 complaints with the FTC, however I doubt that they will ever be able to stop any of them.

Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. These criminals need to be charged with Federal Felonies and subjected to significant jail time. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. The FTC prohibits unsolicited calls for any kind of debt / interest rate reductions which require up front fees. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on inability to pay. The FTC settles for the minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future "telemarketing". The criminals sign off, then go right back to business. The entire operations are clearly criminal, intent to defraud, etc, and should be dealt with in criminal court and not by civil actions.

Credit card rates - I get an average of 3 of these calls a week on my cell phone (last one was on 7-9-12 at 7:55 PM from (360)529-6177 in WA, USA). I should not have to use up my cell phone minutes for their ads

Also report all calls to the Attorney General of Washington (State). Call 1-206-464-6686 and request a form be mailed to you. Their website sucks and costing them money gets their attention. Since the 360-529-6177 number is in the Bellingham/Seattle area, and since the number is answered, albeit by an automatic system, someone in the Bellingham/Seattle area is paying the phone bill. Note: the Attorney General is running for governor this year. If I don't get satisfaction, I plan to contact the news media in Washington State and let them know about his failures. Since everyone gets these type calls, that ought to go over big in an election year.

Credit card offer for government help lowering interest rate. This is a repeated call. I have called them previously (several times) to stop calling to no avail. I have no idea how they got my cell number. I would be willing to be proactive to stop these. These call come in while driving, sleeping, airport, etc. Since we have cell phones with us at all time, these calls can cause safety issues.I have complained to the caller several times...they just hang-up.

There is a recording asking me to push 1 if I want to "lower my interest rate on my charge cards". I have repeatedly told them to remove me from their list. They have ALWAYS been rude and hang up on me.
