I could lower the interest rate on my credit card if I pressed 1 to speak to an operator -- it was not my credit card company calling.

Received a call from this number on my cell at 9.15 this morning. The ID showed up as 'Washington'. Now I do not know anyone in Washington or has a Washington number so I did not answer this call and if it was someone who wanted to speak with me, they would leave me a message as to why they were calling. I googled this number and found out that it was tele marketreer. I called this number back and the answering machine said that it was an automated telephone 'opt out' number and said that I could report a number that had called and opt out..but I also had to confirm the number called..that is my number. I know that this is a scam so I gave the caller number as 3606339155 and the called number as the same. I will keep calling and repeat this until they get fed up ...hopefully. But I am also going to report it as my number is on the DO NOT CALL list...wonder if they actually follow up complaints.

Tried to solicit credit card information in order to "lower my credit card's APR". Would not answer any questions pertaining to their company or their interaction with the Credit Card company.
