Called me wanting to talk to my mother. When I told then she was deaf and they would need to talk to me they said it was a "personal" matter and when I told them I had her POA they told me I would have to fax it to them and then they would talk to me. Since she hasn't left the house in 5 years and her medical bills are paid by me and up to date I'm inclined to think they are up to no good and trying to run some sort of scam on me.

Received calls from this number and another, 207-738-5788 both claiming to be from my credit card company. I don't have any credit cards. This was 2 days after applying to win a new car at the mall which turned out to be a time share condo scam. The only bill "I" owe is when my son used my phone number 8 years ago for Comcast cable then lost his job. They still call my defunct Magic Jack number every month, I get an email notification.

This is who is calling. They were mainly a debt collection agency that discovered that they were doing so much illegal shuck and jive shaking down deadbeats that they decided to start placing spam marketing calls for the most disreputable- security systems, sub-prime credit cards, etc. They are known for extreme rudeness and a penchant for calling kids' cell numbers. These people are everything you hate about telemarketing. They've been at it for 10 years and reform, re-incorporate...all manner of shape shifting and it has worked. Either we tolerate this, or it should be warfare continued by another means. Dirty tricks time!
