This was a recorded message saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit and to return the call immediately. If I returned the call I am sure they would have been happy to accept a credit card to pay off the “Debt”. Just another scam to try to scare money out of the unsuspecting.

Same here a morning and afternoon call, same recording, mechanical sounding female voice. IRS lawsuit.

Another IRS Scam. Received a voice mail from 360-967-4403 in Castle Rock WA. "Call immediately on our department number is 360-967-4403. I repeat 360-967-4403. Thank you."
When I called back the man claimed to be from the IRS. He said there was a lawsuit against me and that I owed money. Even though there is a "lawsuit against me" the man didn't even know my name.

If you get a call from this number do not give them any personal information.
You can also report the call to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration and FTC. See below

2 calls today saying they are from IRS about the case I filed, I need to call 360-967-4403 immediately. FRAUD!

Received the same two calls today from 1-360-967-4403, claiming they were from the IRS and going to file a lawsuit against me. I also have researched regarding the IRS, and the IRS states they only communicate via letter, not phone.

This is another IRS scam call. I received a generic voice mail: "Call immediately on our department number is 360-967-4403. I repeat 360-967-4403. Thank you."
When I called there was a man with a heavy foreign accent claiming to be from the IRS. He had no information about me but claimed there was a lawsuit against me. If you get one of these calls the IRS site asks that you report the incident.

I recieved a call from 360 967 4403 claiming to be the IRS and that they were filing a lawsuit against me. Every time I tried to call they would only talk to me for a minute and then the call would end. I don't know what to do about it... Help?? Is it real or just a scam?

I am in MO and I received the same two calls today as well. The automated voice mail message claimed they were from the IRS and this was a final notice of filing a claim against us. One call referenced the 360-967-4403 phone no. while the second call was also from 425-312-1601. Must be a scam - IRS will never contact someone by phone according to the information we researched on the internet.

No name, no specific reason all the machine says is " If you need more information about this case file call 360-967-4403". This is the 2nd call I have received saying the same thing today but I was given a different # last time 425-312-1601.. I can only assume it's a scam call because I have nothing going on in either Castle Rock,Wa or Everett Wa...
