I experienced the same as everyone reporting. Called and called over a few days. The caller asked for the business owner. I answered and probably threw her off because I have a raspy voice from a cough and bronchitis. I asked her the nature of her call and she stated that she was from the Chamber of Commerce. I asked what I could help her with and did not giver her any details. When she responded again i'm calling from the Chamber of Commerce. I verified my address because it is public information, and then she hung up. I called the number back the next day to see who would answer. I could leave a message, and did. I stated that I would be reporting this number to agencies, local police, etc. May not do any good though. That kind of operation will just invent an entirely new scheme.

sounding very similar. Called my place of business asking the business name and who the owner was. I verified name and owner as it is public information.From there I asked whom they were, and they also said the Chamber of Commerce. She proceeded to ask me how many employees work for the company. I asked what this call was regarding, she repeated that it was for the Chamber of Commerce and hung up!

Call came to my business line at 9:10 AM. Hung up when I answered. Called again at 9:45. Paused awhile when I answered. I waited. He finally spoke, mispronouncing my business name & asking if I am located at (address of my home). I said no. He asked for my address. I said I had 2 business locations but not at the address that he gave. He asked my address. I asked who he was without giving info. He said Chamber of Commerce. Thankyou. And, hung up!

They called me all throughout the day as well, but I was asleep. But they keep calling back. But now I know not to answer. Also I'm from Canada, why would they be calling me from Nebraska? How did they get my number?

Keep calling and hanging up.
