Yet another scammer. The area code is already blocked so it doesn't ring but shows up on the caller ID. ID had "Bellevue, NE". I remember another number calling with that city/state caller ID as well. Best thing to do other than looking up the number is to block the area code, or number if the area code is local to you. Unfortunately, there's not much else you can do to stop these scammers from calling.
answered, they hung up

Robot "hello? Hello? Oh I got the wrong number"
I experienced the same as everyone reporting. Called and called over a few days. The caller asked for the business owner. I answered and probably threw her off because I have a raspy voice from a cough and bronchitis. I asked her the nature of her call and she stated that she was from the Chamber of Commerce. I asked what I could help her with and did not giver her any details. When she responded again i'm calling from the Chamber of Commerce. I verified my address because it is public information, and then she hung up. I called the number back the next day to see who would answer. I could leave a message, and did. I stated that I would be reporting this number to agencies, local police, etc. May not do any good though. That kind of operation will just invent an entirely new scheme.
