I answered - a real person, claiming to be from Cox Communications, was on the line to offer me a fabulous upgrade to my service. I asked why the caller ID didn't match what he was telling me. He had no response to that, so I ended the call. Cox inundates me with email and US Mail nearly daily so even if this was real, I was not falling for it.

neither is the alternate phone number left at the end of the recording. (877) 704-5313.
