They called me on some bullshit and idk what to do now. I let them remotely connect to my computer.
A man with an Indian accent asked to speak to a Mr. {last name}. When I asked who was calling, he then asked for me by first name, although he couldn't pronounce it. Then he said he was from Microsoft and there were viruses he had to fix. I told him no way, this is a joke. He got angry and yelled at me that he was only trying to help. My guess is that unsuspecting people will provide their IP addresses and passwords to these scammers.
He called saying there was malicious viruses downloading on our computer ...we have 3 he wouldnt tell us which one. then had us open files. then wanted us to go to www.erordiagnosticslab.co.u ....I hung up because error wasn't spelled right. Said they were apart of microsoft company.
Caller said his name was Ryan. Thick Indian accent. Called numerous times saying my Microsoft needed to be fixed and updated on my computer. Asked to be removed from his calling list to no avail. Caller was very rude the last time he called.
Caller claimed to be with Windows on my computer - I hung up.
