Do not call this number! This is a phishing scam text about unauthorized activity recognized on a HSBC debit card. It then says to dial 14037709056 to confirm personal details to remove restriction.

HSBC is aware of the scam and has a phishing alert posted on its website: HSBC is aware that both HSBC customers and non-customers are receiving unsolicited text messages claiming to be from HSBC. These messages indicate an issue with an HSBC card and suggest the account is experiencing a security problem and has or will be blocked, flagged or otherwise negatively impacted. These text messages are NOT being sent by HSBC. If you have received such a text message, please immediately delete it and do not reply to the text or call the phone number provided therein. If you are an existing customer and have already replied to the text or called the phone number provided in the text, please call HSBC using the number on the back of your card. Otherwise, please know that we are aware of the situation and there is no need to speak to a representative today. All text messages sent from HSBC to our customers are done only if you have requested such alerts.
