Called my cell telling me i won 100000 airmiles. after being on hold, their first question was am i twenty-five or older and i said no they hung up.wtf? you have to be 19 to get airmiles... i'm older than that....

I work for a major north american trucking company and it is not uncommon to have upwards of 8+ calls from these people a day. They are wasting precious company time and phone lines. When told to f^&* off, they repeatedly call. I hang up, they call back. I tell them to stop calling, they call back. We block one number and they come up with another. Relentless and annoying!

Just received a call it was a recoreded message saying I'd just won 100 000 airmiles and to press 1 to accept. Obviously a scam.

I also received a call at 5:11am and was woken from a deep sleep.
I did not answer, since I didn't recognize the phone number.
But once I got my voice mail I was very mad to see it was a spam call.
Definately not impressed!

This was a recorded message. I received the call at 2:23 am June 7th, 2011. My cell phone rang and woke me up from a sound sleep as I always leave it plugged in by my bed. I instantly thought something was wrong as my 21 year old daughter lives in British Columbia. I freaked out and almost had a heart attack. When I picked up my cell and said hello it was a recorded message. AT 2:23 AM THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG!!! WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO???? CAN PEOPLE WHO WORK HARD ALL DAY AT A JOB NOT GET A GOOD NIGHT"S SLEEP. IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN I AM CALLING THE POLICE I AM GOING TO SUE YOU PEOPLE. I COULD NOT GET BACK TO SLEEP BECAUSE THEN I DID START WORRYING ABOUT MY DAUGHTER. THANKS ALOT WESTJET/CANCUN VACATIONS YOU PEOPLE NEVER NO WHEN TO GIVE UP DO YOU????

Please don't blame WestJet - they have nothing to do with these spammers. They use any readily identifiable business name to fool people into answering. Last year it was WestJet, Airmiles and Bell Canada.

This is a scam! They say you are a valuled Westjet customer, press 1 to get your gift. I did press 1 & got transferred to a resort in Cancun, Mexico. Leo was the name of the person I spoke to. He asked if I was over 25 (yes), Had a credit card (yes). This resort is selling time shares for the resort in Mexico & Disneyworld Florida. They will give a web address & a promo code for the site. This number originates from a landline in Olds, Alberta. Westjet has announced on local radio stations that this is a scam. There is NO affliation with Westjet at all.
i asked some questions & Leo handed me over to a supervisor who stated that the Westjet Call Center in BC made the calls & tranferred callers to Mexico.

Called my home phone and cell number. Not many people have my cell number so I don't know how they got it. They did not leave a message but keep receiving repeated calls from this number.

I got a call today and went through to talk with the Agent offering me some kind of vacation package. It ended up being a company called Cancun Calling and after a while I decided it best to end the phone call. I don't feel comfortable dealing with companies like this and am registered on the DNCL, so I will be logging a formal complaint.

It was the Westjet offer for me. Ididn't press 1 toaccept their free gift.

Theycalled me on my cellphone -- very discouraging because it's a number I rarely give out. I always answer it because of that.

I called Westjet corporate and they said Corporate Security is investigating and asked people affected to callthe RCMP.

I didn't press 1, so no one asked me for my Visa number, but if you got asked, I sugget you report it!

Oct 22/2010, Was offered a free gift from WestJet because I was a valued customer. I fly Westjet alot and only give my cell as a contact number - I'm worried about my credit card information if westjet can't keep my cell phone secret/

got call at 2:27pm... you are a loyal westjet customer. to hear our promotion press 1.... waited for woman who told me i won a vacation from westjet just needed to give credit card number. i said please wait while i get my visa... then i said.. this call has been traced by police thanks for staying on the line long enough for it to work... and by the way i work for west jet and we don't do promotions like this... she hung up
