I have received more than 500 "lower your credit card interest rate" calls on my unlisted - Do Not Call registered cell phone. They are now calling 4 to 5 times per day. These calls have been increasing ever since the FCC has taken action against the 7 robocall spammers.
Slapping them with a fine that they do not have to pay isn't going to deter them at all. You need to go after them in CRIMINAL court for the advance fee fraud and the identity theft.

Lower credit card interest rate, on the phone #'s 571-441-0088 & 602-753-9789. The 404-400-1124 was an automatedd voice about women's health and if anyone in my family had ever taken certain drugs that caused vaginal problems.

The pre-recorded message said if I was a woman (I'm not) who took a certain medication I may be eligible to receive payment for some side effects. It asked me to press 1 if I took the medicine or 2 if I did not (something like that, I can't remember exactly which numbers). I wanted to talk to a person to express my frustration at their unsolicited illegal call to my cell phone, so I pressed 1. When I did, the call simply disconnected. I tried calling the number from caller ID and I get a pre-recorded message that says to press 1 to be put on their do not call list. That is all. This seems very illegal / suspect robo calling in my view.

Did not answer, did not leave a voice message and I did not dial the number back.

Unidentified number, left no voicemail.

Called the number back, got a recording saying "press any digit to be added to the do not call list".

It kept repeating itself, so I pressed it several times.

I don't get it... 3 or 4 weeks ago I verified that I'm still on the federal and state do not call lists. What the heck?

The voicemail states "...you may be entitled to financial compensation. If you've taken Yaz, Yasmine, or Ocella, press 1 now, or press 9 to be removed."

Got this call this morning. Did not answer and they left no msg. Call ID displays "Atlanta GA". I reside in VA 804 area code. Whomever this is seems very busy this morn. I believe they are fishing for live numbers or for phones that are answered. I never answer numbers I don't recognize anymore. It is sad that you can't answer your own phone these days due to the huge amount of scammers going unpunished by the people we pay to stop this. Another criminal enterprise is afoot no doubt...

Rule 19: Do not answer calls from #'s you don't recognize. If it's important or legit they will leave a message. Truth

This was a lawyer's office soliciting for new customers. The number shown on caller id does not receive phone calls back.
