Robo calls to known cell phones for commercial purposes is illegal, and that what these folks are doing in many cases.

I played along with their scam (without giving any personal information) and found out that they are called Consumer Credit Group and their toll-free phone number is 1-888-674-6834.

The Better Business Bureau gives them an "F" rating, so beware doing any business with them:

This number just called me wanting to know if i wanted to lower my interest rate on my credit card. When I waited for an operator and I told her i do not own a credit card she abruptly hung up.

If they have to cut the call abruptly why they are calling us, if they cannot attend us in a proper way.

Called me on my cell phone and did not identify who they were. How did they get this number?

got a call phone an automated response telling me to press one to talk to someone about lowering my dredit card debt. When I called the number back it gives only one option which was press 1 to stop ferther calls and removed from calling list. But no explanation who or from what company was calling. Very odd I'm sure it's a scam.
