"We have attempted to contact you many times through the mail and telephone. This is your last chance to lower your interest rate."

(note: verified that it was not from my banks. Have received many such calls in the past but did not record dates).

When calling the caller-ID number, got a recorded message as follows: "You have been contacted for telemarketing purposes. If you would like to speak with someone, press 2." If I then press 2, another message tells you that the mailbox is full.

On Sept. 19 at 2:16pm my caller ID recorded this number from "Card Member Services" -- and that happens to be the name for one of my credit card accounts. There was no voice message. I am reporting this to the MA Atty. General, as I am on the State and Federal "DO Not Call Registries". SInce I get at least one call a day from similar callers, I am now going to be diligent about keeping a log.

I HAVE THIS NUMBER BLOCKED ON MY PHONE AND THIS CARD SERVICE COMPANY IS STILL CALLING . THAN WHEN YOU CALL THEM BACK TO TELL THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF THE LIST THEY HANG UP ON YOU BEFORE YOU ARE FINISHED TELLING THEM . I WANT CARD SERVICES TO STOP CALLING MY HOUSE NOW !

That's because their number is scrambled. It is not the one that shows up on caller id. How that can be legal is beyond me. They call even when we are on the do not call list. That list does not work.

Robo call "Important message regarding your credit card" After pressing 1 to find out the name of the company, I was connected with a person. I asked for the name of the company. They said "Card Services". I asked what company I had an established relationship with which allowed them to call as I am on the do-not-call list. I was promptly hung up on.
