BS call offering a security system - already have one!

I asked why he was calling my cell instead of my home number, and he said my cell was the only one on file. I was puzzled by this until I realized that I had previously signed up to receive texts regarding power outages so they must have recorded my cell phone number in their system for sales calls. Not cool!!!

I agree this is spam. I called these people back and told them undo it have a home protection plan with them. They then said I could disregard the call.
