The caller claimed to have information that my Windows computer was sending spam and needed to be fixed. Since I don't use Windows, this was highly unlikely. This appears to be the typical scam where naive computer users are convinced to give money to the caller in return for a "fix" for the "problem" (and then download malware as part of the "fix").
