They just called me offering to "reduce" my FIVE year commitment for some magazine subscription. As if. Anyway, they said they had my consent recorded giving them authorization to start the trial of the subscription and now it is too late because the free trial has run out. The caller generously offered to reduce my payment to 20 additional $50 per month payments...... However, she first wanted me to confirm that that was OK. No way am I going to be tricked into saying something that would be recorded. I am going to check all my statements and dispute anything that arises if anything come of this. As far as their option to dispute, I asked to speak to someone else, and this supercilious woman very condenscendedly said to me that she was TRYING to do me a favor here, take it or leave it.

Wanted to "help" me by cancelling my magazine auto-renewals. Wanted to verify my credit card number to confirm my account. Told them I didn't order magazines, said they would transfer me to disputes. they hung up.
