Been getting these types of calls for a year on our landline. Keep telling my Mom to call the phone company and investigate it. Sometimes I'll answer these strange numbers & it'll be a friend or a family member on the line. Sometimes family members have to call 10+ times just get through to us. Sometimes, during phone conversations with friends and family members, the call will be dropped. And when either I or whoever I was talking to calls back, it'll show up as another number and you can hear echoes & clicks. Sometimes you'll hear random strange beeps. And on one occasion, my sister called our phone only to have some foreign guy pick up (not us, we weren't home), say, "Hello" and you could hear another guy in the background talking and it would repeat over and over - like a looped message. She recorded it. She checked the number she had dialed on her cell & sure enough, it was our number and not a mis-dial. She then called and left a series of messages on our answering machine, frightened, thinking someone was in our house. I've got all the evidence up on my youtube channel. /watch?v=meOOcHZWRxE

Absolutely bizarre.

This particular number showed up as "PINNACLEHEALTH" and when I answered a man said, "Hello, this is Mark Sager calling from Dental Health Services. How are you doing today?" I'd received similar calls from these type of numbers & decided to try to play along to get more information. So I said, "Good. You?" There was no response. I realized that the voice was not a man, but a robot. That sounded A LOT like a real person. +1 brownie point for the creep factor.

So, I waited until it disconnected me before hanging up. I googled the number & found several of these websites full of strange reports regarding this number. After I redialed, the number didn't ring, but I could tell I was being recorded. So I gave them quite a show and began reading off some of the people's complaints in random sing-songy voices. It went on for a good 5+ minutes before I was disconnected. So I redialed and got a busy tone. So I kept calling and calling until it started to ring. It rang for a while before going back to the busy tone. So I called a few more times & started getting the, "This phone has been disconnected..." right away, or "This call cannot be completed as dialed..." After a while, it kinda lost its luster, but I am tempted to call back one more time. Just did. Busy signal. No surprise.

I can't help but think there is something really strange going on here. I've been keeping a list of these numbers & their caller ids. I hope this helps anyone else who may be having the same issues:
