Wanted to verify bank account for Medicare.
Asked for person
Offer to reduce my credit card interest rate.
Caller: None
Caller offered a new Medicare Identity Card, and asked for "verification" of name & address. He then asked me to identify the bank where my Social Security payment was posted. I did not provide that information. He then hung up the phone.
Caller: "Michael" Company name not given
They said they needed my mother's social security number and bank information to send a new social security card- apparently targeting elderly people--+
