Caller offered a new Medicare Identity Card, and asked for "verification" of name & address. He then asked me to identify the bank where my Social Security payment was posted. I did not provide that information. He then hung up the phone.

They said they needed my mother's social security number and bank information to send a new social security card- apparently targeting elderly people--+

Stated that he was representing the United States government medicare service. He wanted to send me a new medicare card and to verify the information they had before they sent the care, they needed to know the name of my Bank. When I said I would not give it they hung up. The man sounded like he was from India.
