I received two calls with the same script claiming to be calling from the BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation) from a "Michael Black". He had an Indian accent and could barely understand what he was saying. But he threatened to take legal action against me if I didn't call immediately and that I would be "detained" for this. He ended the message with "God may only help you." Very disturbing. I called the number back and he had personal information like my address. I could hear some people laughing in the background as they were hearing the conversation and I told him I couldn't understand what he was saying. The number was 409-655-3009 ext 2055

i keep getting phone calls too saying i owe on a payday loan that i never got. he said his name is frank harris, and if i dont make a $350 payment by visa or mastercard today, i would be arrested for fraud. i asked my attorney who said no debt collector can threaten you with legal action other than wage garnishment! ha!

Thehes has called me from a few numbers but always with the name michael black. the only reason this is so concerning is because of the information he has social and all bank numbers. also work numbers and cell phones. i put my social on security watch and changed all account numbers and reported it to the police. my wife went postal on them and told them if they wanted to speak to someone in "resolving the matter" they could contact our local pd where we reported the scamming calls as well as speak with our lawyer. they responded with "geehadkjekfjnerngfoerrng... shut up lady" and hung up the phone.

I'm getting the same phone calls from this number also threating to have me put in jail. For a payday loan with my name and social security number. they have a very strong accent with names like John Smith and Micheal Black. Not sure what to do about it.

I got same call this past Friday saying that I owed money. His name he went by was micheal black and threatened me with jail time if I didn't pay for money that I never got. This is so uncool and hope something gets done about it.

TheReceived a threaten phone call today from an Alan Jones saying I would be arrested by 5pm today if the matter was not resolved. I called my friend who is an attorney, he called the number, and it was a total scam. Alan Jones actually told my attorney to stick his fingers up his a$$. Total scam artists. How are they getting away with this???

I got a threatening voicemail today, returned the call to have the heavy accented gentleman threaten me in maximum jail behind the bars...really? Anyway, I called the police the cop called him back and he stuck to his guns but I have hopefully a detective calling to come get more info which will include this site, so thank you all for stepping up and complaining about this!

Please let me know what the detective tells you. I too received a threatening vm this morning. Told me he was with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation - He said he was officer Paul Smith. He too had a heavy accent. He told me not to disregard this message there would be legal action. He told me they had received a complaint against me and my social security number. That I need to have legal counsel or advsior contact him. But at the end of the message he said I need to call him today this was time sensitive. I have tried locating the phone number on the internet to see if it was assoc with law enforcement, but I've had no success. Any updates you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Some person called left me threat voice mail and claiming himself as criminal investigator. He left the message for some other person though.

Called me repeatedly for some time and left a message yesterday on my voice mail. A man identified himself as a criminal investigator and threatened me with jail and check fraud theft proceedings. What is it all about? So tired of these scamers harassing the people around me.

its a total scam, do not fall for it, i've had the same number call me a million times it seems in the past few days, ive spoke to police, its a big scam, and a potential identity theft.
