Been recieving calls at home and at work from am Officer Michael Black from the Beaureu of Criminal Investigations, sayimg that there is a lawsuit against me and criminal complaints filed against my ssn. I told him to stop calling me at work, that I can not take personal calls there and to call me at home. I have yet to recieve another call from him but now he is calling my inlaws with the same story but not calling me. He has a foriegn accent and is using the no. 1-410-775-6073 ext. 779. How do I stop these harrasing calls?
This guy has been calling me and my inlaws many times threating to send me to jail on a loan to be repaid. He is using the name officer Michael Black.
I receved a call from 410-205-9153 stating a lawsuit against my ssn. When I question him he could not give me any info concerning the lawsuit..I knew right off this was a scam because i owe no one.He said he was from the bureau of criminal investigations and his name was Michael Benson. How can we get these people to stop calling other than changing phone numbers..I have had this number for years and why should i change it when what they are doing is against the law and why has not these people been stopped
I have been receiving several threatning calls from a Craig Summers who stated he was with the Bureau of criminal invvestigations. He stated if I didnt give him my bank information for a billl I owed, I would be arrested no matter where I am.I have a gravely ill husband and this person calls all times of night with these threatning calls. After doing some research, I found this was a scam.He talked with one of my sons and told him that he felt sorry for my family because I am going to jail for a long time. How do I get this person to stop with the harrassing calls? When I tried to call back to get some answers, that foreign accented man just cusses me out and hangs up.

Contact you state's Attorney General or a consumer attorney immediately! The caller has violated the Federal Unfair Debt Collections Act and probably your state's debt collection act too. You can actually sue any creditor who violates the Federal or State debt collection laws. Federal law allows you to recover $1,000. But you state law may allow you to recover more. For instance, in West Virginia you can recover up to $4,400 for each violation, meaning each phone call could earn you $4,400. No debt collector can threaten prison no matter if you owe the money or not!
This person who identified himself as an officer, but I could not understand the name, as he spoke in a foreign accent, continues to call and leave harrassing messages about if I do not call back he has my social security number and I will be receiving a very unexpected and unpleasant surprise. He leaves the 410-775-6073 number and says he's with the Bureau of Criminal Investigations. But he doesn't give any further information and this time left ext. 799. He has called my home and work numbers and I consider it total harassment no matter if it's a scam or not.
