Message left that I have a open service ticket (I never created one) mainly because I don't have Comcast NOR do I have cable or internet ... I use a prepaid cricket cell phone and antenna--so I will justify this as a possible scam.. I received multiple calls from this number over several days. The recorded message was vague and referenced problems with my Internet speed. I hung up the first time, and stopped answering. The number left in the voicemail for callback was 844-482-6747. It seemed like a scam, but the calls were so persistent that I thought it might be legit, so I googled the numbers and found some reports that they were from Comcast. I confirmed with Comcast over their chat support that the calls were legitimate, that I had an open service ticket for problems detected in my service, and that the 844 number is Comcast. I called the 844 number and the gentleman I spoke with tested my connection and said it was back to 100% and that he would close my service ticket. I guess they must have already come out and fixed something. I'm not sure why they seem to be going out of their way to make their legitimate calls sounds like a scam, but this is Comcast.

I received a voicemail yesterday regarding a leak in my internet line and that I would be experiencing slow service. They ended up sending a tech out and called me to say that they were at my house, I wasn't home and after I told them that I got worried. I called Comcast and was told that I had no service call scheduled and that I wouldn't be charged for it. I got another call last night from the same number and spoke to someone with a thick Indian accent who was difficult to understand. I told him that we weren't experiencing slow internet but would call them back if we were. He was rather persistent and it didn't sound right. This morning I called Comcast and was informed that this number is legit and that they did detect a leak in my line. I told him that the people that called me sounded very unprofessional and that everything online even said that the number was a scam.
