Keep calling my number about debt that is not mine individual they are looking for is not me have told them so on several occasions they keep calling

Got a call from this place telling me that I owed a debt on a credit card I have never heard of from 1998. This place is actually trying to get money that isn't even owed.

Have been getting several calls a day from this number,never leave message answered it today and the woman said she was Judy Hoffman with Portfolio Recovery I immediatly asked for their physcial address to send a certified letter and she refused to give it to me. She wanted me to send to a po box when I send no she informed me that I was breaking the law I hung up on her.

The Wall Street Journal posted a story about Portfolio Recovery Associates, using the signature of a woman named Martha Kunkle, who died in 1995. Although she died in 1995, Kunkle's signature has apparently shown up on thousands of affidavits submitted since her death by Portfolio.

some company called portfilio recovery about an old 'western auto'account which went out of business ,back in '81; and that I have an uncollected bill with them which they would settle for p..pennies, which I almost took , but remembered that my son also has my first and last name;which I was thinking maybe it's him that they want...so...should I pay it or wait or what ???? I mean , I'm not rich, and there's nothing on my Record about this; (Experian/Trans) so how would this affect me??

DO NOT PAY DO NOT SAY YOU PAY ANY AMOUNT if you do it goes on ur record they can not collect on that or all the others try to collect on. forward there call to the police station.

These people are bottom feeders. They try to collect on really old debts. They are beyond the statute of limitations but they do not care. We disconnected our phone. Check the statute of limitations for your debt. Whatever you do, do not believe their lies. If you pay anything, the statute clock starts ticking again. I have not sent a letter to them telling them not to contact me but supposedly that would work. Try telling them that they are harrassing you. Sometimes that works.

This "Portfolio Recovery" company keep calling me and I have asked them to remove me from their list several times, to no avail. They just keep on calling with no regard to being asked not to.

Refused to tell us who they were or what they wanted. Very rude. Gave us some bogus phone no. to call. Used *69 to find out who called. Caller id was blocked.

This number keeps calling us at all hours for the last 2 months, I got feed up and answered which with out saying a word they hung up. They called about one hour later, I answered again and they hung up again with out saying a word. I know for a fact we have no past debt and if anyone knows how we can report them so somthing is done, please let us know.
