Recording asking for names

They called my cell phone asking "Can I speak to Betty?". Betty is my wife's name. I asked "who?", and again they asked "Can I speak to Betty?". It was the exact same tone, inflection, everything. It was a recording. I asked "who is calling?" and a person with the same voice as the recording got on the line and asked for "the man or the woman of the house". I asked "why?" and about a 30 second recording came on pulling at my heart strings, asking for money to support disabled veterans. Then the live person came back on asking if I wanted to donate. I said nothing and let the caller listen to my car radio. They soon hung up.

I didn't answer no message left

Charity claiming to be collecting for disabled people coming home. Wouldn't stop reading from his script to acknowledge me asking to be removed from their call list... he just kept talking louder.
