why doesn't someone do something about these calls? would like to meet them face to face someday.

Tax help scam.

Called. Left no message. Looked it up and all results point to spam telemarketing. Blocking

I called back. It have options 1 - 4. Press 2 to be placed on do not call list. 4 to report their practices to the governing authority. I just pressed 2... 48 hours to be of the call list.

I started getting calls from this number about 2 weeks ago and they have increased in the number of times per day a lot! Yesterday they called (in tandem w/ a Washington state number) 72 times! Never leaves a message. The few times I've picked up, all I hear is a high pitched single ping similar to a fax machine. The calls always come in sets of 3. 2 right after each other from this number. Then about 30 seconds later, another call from the Washington state number. Some time passes before it starts all over again!
