Got a call from this number today to my restaurant. Same story as the above posts. I figured someone was trying to change my place page on google, but now I know it was spammer harvesting phone numbers for spamming craigslist. I'd love to get a hold of one those little bastards. I wish I had answered the phone instead of the other owner (my wife). Luckily she ignored them and said if you want to come and inspect, then come on in. I'm busy and not writing down your stupid code...lol. I love my wife.

guy name michael davis called my restaurant and said he's from health dep. and inspectors will cme next day. he said i need to give him 5digit number
i should have noticed that the phone number was blocked

I first received a call from 91564 - OUT OF AREA being a business I answered the phone call - They guy calling ask you do not wish to receive phone calls from telemarketers do you and you wish to be removed from calling list correct. I said yes, he then said someone in one minute would be calling with a five digit code to be used so that our phone number would be removed from list. It was very odd therefore I did not answer the next call (415-366-0260) I guess because I did not answer that number they started calling from 310-928-7055 and KEPT CALLING... After NOT answering the several back to back calls from both numbers I received 6 more phone calls from the 91564 Out of Area. I do not have a craigslist account, I do not own a restaurant, I have NEVER had a problem with FB....

I got a call from this guy with indian accent. He said his name is Daniel. He call my restaurant and told me the inspectors (Adam Parker, Christ C) will come tomorrow to inspect the restaurant. Because this is a new restaurant, and some erros on the address. I was doubting too much. Stupid me. I provide him with my phone and gave him the code. I dont know whats going to happen, but i filed a complaint to craigslist.

My dad told me this number (415) 366-0260 and (760) 705-8888 called and said they were the Health Dept. and they were going to need 5 phone numbers and some kind of code. He didn't give them any numbers because my dad thought it was kind of suspicious. I googled these 2 phone numbers and realized it was a prank/scam.

In order to prevent spam on Craigslist they now require people to sign up for an account and they have to provide a phone number that craigslist will send a code to in order to confirm they are who they claim they are. The 1-415-366-0260 is Craigslist automated code distrobution caller. If you didn't sign up for craigslist you can ignore the call and the code.

When spammers want to create many different accounts so they can list a ton of the same spam ads, they start using other peoples phone numbers and then they call those people and try to get the code from them so they can login and start spamming Craigslist. Anyone calling asking for that code is a lying piece of crap spammer.

The The thing that made me belived because he was intorduce himself" John Miller" said call from Health Department also told me the name of inspectors who gonna come tomorrow "Tim Brown" and "Adam Parker" when i realrize what kind of that name speak Indian accent English. I was so sick and headach to listen their speaking broken English,i am not born here and my english is not excelent but everytime i heard this people speaking,just want to kill myself... hard to understand what they are saying and it's very annoy. Why your guys make your people looked very very bad???? Attention the Restaurant Business in Portland OR,there is only one Indian inspector from Health Department and she is super nice!! the number that he will give you to call back is 503 233 6363 is not from Health Department,when i called bak it's fax machine.
They did the same thing asked me my cell and my friends's cell to give a five digits code said that i have to show this code to the inspector when they are come tomorrow.it was a trick. It was my Lesson and i will never let them play that game with me anymore!!

The same man called my salon today claiming to be from my corporate office asking that I verify a confirmation code after i was called from an automated messaging system.

Got a call from a person named Jason saying he was with the Health dept. and asked for information and phone #'s of people that worked a the resturant I work in. Gave me a 5 digit code of some sort. Said that some people were coming for an inspection because of some complaints. This person named Jason had a heavy Indian accent. Don't think this was a ligit call.

Caller from this number identified himself as Daniel. He has an Indian accent and contacted motels in our chain, Budget Host Inns. He said he was from the corporate office and was shipping t-shirts to the motels. He asked for telephone numbers at the property and referred to some kind of codes. This is a scam. Our corporate office did not issue any t-shirts and has no representative like this.

got a call from 415-366-0260 After I responded to a job post on craigslist. Got an email with a link to a very legit looking webite and as part of the application process they had to verify your phone number. This muber called me and gave me a verification code to enter the site. Pretty sure im screwed

This is actually craigslist.com - this is a legitimate number. What this number is for is they use this to verify ( User Accounts ) They use Phone verifications for proof the account holders are real. if you get a call from this number and you dont have a craigslist account - Just hang up. If you do get a call from this number and dont have a craigslist account - Someone has accidently put your phone number in for the verification process or someone used your number on purpose as a prank..
