This is outrageous and totally unacceptable. Someone needs to be punished for this threat calls and charged with proper legal penalties

Thankfully all of you posted, already. I got this same call this morning, same person "Julie Smith". And the "we hope you're well" was really the topper! I was very worried we were being audited. I even called my mom immediately after (and I'm 55!)....

True Scam to say the least. Sad thing is they don't even pick up when you call back., I was going to record them and have some fun. True pity.

Computer generated voice message from 'Officer Julie Smith of the Internal Revenue Service'. Message states not to ignore the message and return the fall immediately. Then at the end throws in some b.s. like 'thank you and I hope you have a nice day'.
REALLY??! FROM THE IRS?? Obviously a scam. I called the number, it rang 5x, clicked and changed to a fast busy signal.

BEWARE OF THIS IRS SCAM. Said it was the IRS and that I owed back taxes. Said I did not pick up a certified letter from the Post Office in August informing me of the charges. The sheriff was coming to serve me and take me to jail, etc. I told him he was full of $hit and hung up.
