FAKE Legal Department for US Treasury call. Demanding, soft voice, can not speak clearly. Caused me anxiety for no reason. JERKS!

Male, Asian/Indian/Pakistani, claimed to be calling from US Treasury. Denied that it was a sales call or subject to the restrictions of the Do Not Call registry. Threatened that if the 'suspect' did not follow up with a return call, he or she would soon be arrested, "could happen any time, soon", then quickly said "God Bless" and hung up.

similar call as Bruce above-same script left as a voice mail. call not returned, but have had similar calls in the past. caller can actually get nasty and threatening.

I got a same call. When I said to the caller that your call was a old phone scam and you need to generate a new one. The caller said, no, no, this is a new one. very funny.

Got a message from Nelson from legal affairs stating I was subject to legal action filed by the US Treasury Dept. He demanded that I call back immediately as this was an urgent matter and said he would also recommend I have an attorney present when calling back.

Got a call from Stanley Lee claiming I was the subjext of legal action filed by the US Treasury Dept. He claimed several notices had already been sent and wanted "some information" from me over the phone. He gave me his "supervisors" phone number, which is the same number he called from and said I should call back immediately and talk to whoever answers the phone. No supervisors name was given and he would not say what the charges were and could not provide any information about me when asked. I told him this sounds like a text book phone scam and hung up. He sounded Asian/ Indian/ Pakistani with a very soft hard to hear voice.

Claimed he had legal action against me. When I asked what it was in regards to, he could not answer me and got defensive. He also stated that he sent me 3 letters, that I never received. I asked him to state my address. He could not state my correct address and then he hung up.

Claimed "Stanley" was from US Treasury Dept. Wanted personal info. I told him I would have my atty. contact him. Spoke with an accent....

Claimed they call from the Treasure Department.
They were threatening.
