This number calls my land line nearly every day, sometimes up to 3 times. I have *67 the number and it says it is not in service. Evidently a fake number. Why isn't a system set up to eliminate this type of annoying phone calls? I don't pay my phone bill for this type of aggravation

Received 3 calls from this number 15 minutes ago. Wanting to collect on a debt from hospital. Funny if the hospital turned it over to a collection agency that means you owe them nothing. You only owe the debt to the original debt not the collection agency. Common practice of hospitals and doctors are to flood you with bills before it is processed through your insuranse. You are not obligated to pay that bill untill after the insuranse pays, you pay the ballance. So if the medical industry wants to play games then the patient have the right to play the same game. Also in most states the Collection Agency must be registered in the state to do business. Additionaly debts have a statute of limitation. Some states it's 3 years some it's 5 years. Check your state's laws and fight them with knowledge, they can only collect the debt if your stupid.
