Lower my interest rate with "Stimulus" funds

Said this is the last call they will make to me; in fact, it is probably the 20th time this telemarketer called me.

Card services. The call states that due to the financial reform I could lower the interest rate on my credit cards ( I do not have a single credit card)

It is a per recorded message and the only option the offer is press One to speak to a representative.

On this particular call, I did not press one, but I have in the past since they call me several times a week.

In the past, whenever I press one and talk to a representative, I ask them to take me off the calling list and they never say a word, they just hang up on me.

I have not kept a record of the previous calls but I will start.

"Card Services" to improve my credit card (not sure of details, having stopped listening closely to their pitch after numerous calls over several years). After hanging up, I called the number back (417-800-2333) and a machine said I had called their customer "management platform" and probably wanted to a) be connected to a live agent or b) be removed from their call list. I pressed "2" to be put on "their" do not call list. I'm already on the National Do Not Call Registry, which they seem to think they can ignore. This seems to be an improvement, but I'm doubtful that it will stop their string of calls. I and (my Internet research indicates) apparently many others have been repeately bothered by and reported their ("Card Services") calls, which often are to phone numbers listed in the National Do Not Call Registry. They apparently initiate them from a wide variety of different telephone numbers.

These calls are not going to stop. Blocking the numbers is useless, they are all fake/spoofed and they will use another. Just ignore the calls.

Report the calls to the appropriate authority regardless if you feel that it is useless and warn others.

NEVER EVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. If people stop falling for these scams the calls will stop. Know the calls signs, always out of area, always robo calls, always card services, out of area number. Telemarketing robo calls are ILLEGAL. Period. Criminals dont care about the law. There is no financial stimulus, never was. And no this is not your final offer, because they are desperate for your credit card info. Dont take the calls personally becuase a computer does all the work. And NO they wont take you off the list. They are criminals, since when does a criminal care? And yes those who pick up the phone know it. Just ignore the calls, warn the elderly and the vunerable. Every news organization and newspaper has reported on this scam. Read the articles to the right of this page on 800 notes.
