Your claims that there is no real report generator are incorrect or need further clarification; something like real report generator of the type I want to use. I'm struggling to see why you think R should be developed along the lines of SAS? SAS has customers to please that have deep pockets. SAS can pay for developers and tell them to write a report generator if that is what big pharma want SAS to produce, because they have their hands in those deep pockets. R is based on contributor effort. There is no obligation for the developers to do what you or I want them to do, and I, as well as many others, appear to be happy with the functionality provided in Sweave and other similar tools. You seem to be a small minority of one that is dissatisfied, but you also seem unable to write one yourself. That's just tough.R is not a commercial application. No one is forcing you to use it.
