yes, they call every evening about 8pm cst and say nothing or say that my they are from microsoft and my computer has a problem. I just tell them that they have a problem and the authorities are already on their way through a trace!,,,,they hangup right away

This number calls me nearly every day. Caller ID indicates following number: +1(423)348-6454 and only says Falls Branch, TN, no name. I never answer calls from numbers I do not know. It is usually around dinner time and is very annoying.

I love getting these calls!!!! I keep them on the line as long as possible! "Let me boot up my computer." Wait 3-5 minutes. "Oh, wrong password." Wait 3-5 minutes while I "try" several passwords. Pretend to follow directions. "Oh no! My computer must be really messed up because it just froze on me!!! Let me try to unfreeze it." Wait 3-5 minutes pretending to unfreeze it. "I'm going to have to reboot it. Sorry." Go through the same process over. I have kept some of these morons on the phone for over 20 minutes!!!! I love when they call me when I'm driving long trips; gives me some entertainment to pass the time. When I get bored with them I tell them they are cutting out and ask for their personal number so I can call them back if I lose connection. Most will hang up, but if they give you the number I write it down then hang up. I then *67 with my number to block my caller ID and call them back either really early in the morning or really late at night when I am bored. If they answer, I old school prank them; is your refrigerator running? Is there a Hue Jass there?, etc. Sometimes I just start speaking Spanish out of nowhere. They get so confused!
I figure, the longer I keep them on the phone entertaining me, it is less time they have to swindle some poor ignorant person that doesn't know any better! Good luck! It's fun!

Constantly call and never leave a message. Try to call back and it says the call cannot be completed as dialed. ID shows Alvin Smith. Talked to them this time (foreigner could barely speak English). It was a SCAM call to get my computer info. They got nothing except the dial tone. Hung up. Will never answer this name again.

I got the call and was told that my computer license showed a virus in my system. I acted like I was willing to have him help. He wanted me to press the Windows key and R at the same time. I asked if it would be easier for him if I just gave him my credit card number, mother's maiden name and bank account pin. I then asked if he could call me at my work number at the police department cyber crimes unit and he hung up. Guess my computer fixed itself. Sounds like Alvin is the clerk at the 7-11.

this call came rang my cell phone and landline at the same time....landline showed Alvin Smith cell phone said call forwarded..too much background noise to hear anything

I enjoy acting as if I am going to have him help me with my computer. About the time he is ready to start getting pertinent information, I lay into him and do my very best to insult him in every way. He really gets mad at that point and called me a SOB, which made my day and hopefully ruined his.

Alvin called me this morning. I didn't answer because I don't know an Alvin Smith. Coincidentally, my birth father's name is Marvin Alvin Smith, so I thought about it all day. I almost called back, but fed the phone # into my search engine and ended up here. Thanks folks.

Scam call!

They just called me a few minutes ago and said "we are calling abour your computer" and then I said "I know I am waiting for you to get here". Then I hung up.

the old microsoft scam. your computer needs attention. yeah right, let'em in to plant malware.

Called me several times over the last week, too, almost always around suppertime. I don't pick up and they leave no message.

Never answered because I know no Alvin Smith from this area code that is still alive. I about dropped dead when I heard the phone announce it and looked at the area code-but the rest of the number was wrong and it had been over 40 years, I won't answer. Wish I knew how someone could ruin a dead friends name this way.

423-348-6454 caller id says ALVIN SMITH. looked up and says from it is a landline from Chuckey, TN. Somebody please arrest whoever it is. I get the stupid foreign guy calls all the time "about my computer" or from the IRS - SCAM

Per Caller ID, Alvin smith, phone #423-348-6454, called but left no message. What can telephone customers expect when their customer call centers are located in Georgetown, South America, or some other country? It can be assumed those centers have access to all personal info for phone customers in order to provide assistance. It is not hard to believe that scammers exist outside the borders of America who wasn't to scam guilible "rich" Americans.
