Was just woken up by a call from this number, not so fun! Had just gotten back to sleep from my partner's mother calling not too long before, so I assumed it was her (he's from TN which has the same area code and I didn't really look further at first) and decided to let it go to voice mail since he was already planning on calling her back. She's the only one of his family or friends from TN who has managed to find my cell phone, which this number called. Lo and behold, they left no voicemail, and he didn't recognize the number so I did a search and this turned up.

I didn't answer so I don't know who they are or what they want, and this is the very first time they called me. I haven't signed up for anything, my only debt is hospital bills and I am working with those collectors who are local, not out of state, next to no one knows my cell phone so I have no idea how they got this number or why they are calling me. I am on the do not call list and I should have some peace with my cell phone, but obviously I don't. If they call again, I'll pick up to see if I can get some more information on them, though.

I never answer phone numbers I don't recognize, but I get repeated calls from this number each week. I came here and found out it was a scam caller. I won't answer the call when I see the number. It's annoying as I'm on the Cell Phone NO CALL LIST and it makes no difference whatsoever.

I also get calls from Portfolio Recovery and I don't have ANY outstanding debts. Somehow, they bought a credit card number that was paid in full and have been trying to collect on that for FIFTEEN years. I've reported them to the FTC and I still get calls!

Is there no justice??????

Called on 3/30/11 @ 2:30 pm.

I do not know who called, but it did not ring long enough for the answering machine to go off.

Whomever calls me from this number will call multiple time a day, upon answering there's 10-15 seconds of dead air followed by a computerized voice saying goodbye.

Telemarketer of some sort. I missed the call, then called back, and got a bogus "put your number on do not call list" menu option. It was phony. Calling back again and trying to dial zero disconnects the call. This is a boiler-room telemarketing company of some sort.

Next time tell them yes but give them false information, false card numbers, false personal numbers, false SNN, etc. You get the idea, hopefully will when they try to write the contract they will also get the idea. The person who hired them to do the telemarketing will get a wee bit frustrated.
